What buyers ask before choosing a shredder — security levels, sheet capacity, duty cycles, jams and returns. If your question is not here, write to guestservices@calturamanor.shop and a person will answer it.

What do you sell?

Paper shredders only: compact cross-cut machines for a home desk, 12- and 14-sheet models for a shared office, micro-cut units for higher-security waste, and auto-feed machines that take a whole stack unattended. We are online-only — there is no showroom.

What do P-4 and P-5 actually mean?

They are DIN 66399 security levels describing how small the particles end up. P-4 cross-cut produces confetti-sized pieces and suits ordinary business paper. P-5 micro-cut produces much finer particles and is the sensible choice for financial records, HR files and anything with identity data on it. Higher levels shred slower and fill the bin faster — that is the trade-off, not a defect.

How many sheets can I really feed at once?

The rated capacity assumes 70–75 gsm paper, dry, with no staples. Feed thicker stock, a folded sheet or a humid stack and you will get fewer. The single most common cause of a jam is treating the rated number as a minimum instead of a maximum — feed a couple of sheets under it and the machine will last years longer.

Why does it stop after a few minutes?

Because it is meant to. Every shredder has a duty cycle: a home machine may run two or three minutes and then rest twenty, while an office unit runs far longer. That thermal cut-out is protecting the motor, not failing. If you are clearing an archive, buy for the duty cycle rather than the sheet count.

Do I need to oil it?

Cross-cut and micro-cut heads both benefit from it. Use shredder oil or an oil sheet on the cutting head every time you empty a full bin — never cooking oil or an aerosol lubricant, which gum the cutters. An unoiled head loses capacity long before it fails outright, and that wear is not a manufacturing fault.

What does delivery cost and how long does it take?

Shipping is free on orders of ₹999 and above. Below that a flat ₹49 is added at checkout — one fee for the whole order. Orders placed before 3:00 PM IST on a working day start packing the same day; we hand parcels to Delhivery / XpressBees within 1–2 business days, transit is usually 3–9 business days, so most orders land within 4–11 business days of confirmation.

How can I pay?

Two ways: UPI (prepaid) or Cash on Delivery. Nothing else. We do not accept credit cards, debit cards, net banking, PayPal or third-party wallets, so no such option appears at checkout. COD is available on most serviceable PIN codes at no extra charge.

Can I return something I changed my mind about?

Yes — you have 7 days from delivery, provided it is unused and in its original packaging with the invoice. Machines that have had any paper through them cannot be returned. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days.

What if it arrives damaged or faulty?

Record an unboxing video as you open the parcel and send it within 48 hours of delivery. That clip covers damaged, defective, wrong or missing items and we arrange a free replacement or a full refund straight away, with no return shipping cost to you. This is a damaged-or-defective-on-arrival guarantee from us as the seller — it is not a six-month product warranty, and we make no manufacturer warranty claim on your behalf.

How do I track my order?

A tracking link arrives by email and SMS as soon as the parcel ships. If it has not moved in 48 hours, send us the order number and we will chase the courier ourselves.

Where are you and when can I reach you?

Caltura Manor ships from Secunderabad, Telangana. Support is by email, Monday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM IST. Sunday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM IST. Messages arriving outside those hours are answered on the next working day.
